Mango Butter is a plant-based emollient derived from the seeds of the mango fruit. It’s known for its rich, creamy texture and non-greasy feel. We use it in our formula to help moisturize and soften the skin. Mango butter is known for its stability and smooth application, contributing to a luxurious skin feel. Additionally, it can support your skin barrier function when used regularly.
Kokum Butter is a firm, plant-based butter derived from the seeds of the garcinia indica fruit, it has a smooth texture and contributes to the stability of the overall mixture. It’s known for being non-comedogenic, making it a popular choice in products designed to moisturize without clogging pores. Kokum butter enhances the consistency and feel of our butter, offering a rich and lightweight finish. It is great for moisturizing without leaving behind too much grease.
Jojoba Oil is a liquid wax extracted from the seeds of the jojoba plant, it is a powerhouse moisturizer. Jojoba is known for its lightweight texture and excellent skin compatibility as it closely resembles the natural oil in our skin. It helps enhance the mixture’s texture and glide without leaving a greasy residue. Its stability, versatility and impressive absorption make it a popular choice for both skin and hair care applications.
Vitamin E Oil is a popular ingredient in moisturizing products due to the range of benefits it offers. However, we use it at a low ratio primarily to shelf stabilize the mixture with its antioxidant properties. Though it absolutely does contribute to the smooth and nourishing texture of our butter.
Beeswax is a natural wax produced by honeybees, we add it to our butter to thicken and stabilize the overall mixture. It also helps create a barrier on the skin, protecting it from environmental irritants. Beeswax also enhances shelf stability and increases the butter’s melt point to help preserve its consistency in warm weather. Its subtle honey-like aroma adds a natural sweetness that is pleasant but not overpowering.
Arrowroot Powder is a fine, natural starch extracted from the roots of the arrowroot plant. It contributes to the soft, rich texture of our butter. It also absorbes excess oil on the skin and reduces the greasiness that is often found in other moisturizing butters. Arrowroot powder is gentle on sensitive skin and subtly reduces shine with its matte finish.
In our scented butter lines, we use only the highest quality premium fragrance and essential oils (listed on the product label). These are specifically made to be safe on all skin types and make our butters smell irresistibly pleasant.
